Irish Rose Scholarship Pageant

(CONTESTANTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE ANY ELECTRONIC DEVICES DURING ALL EVENTS)

(REQUIREMENTS)

 

PRE-PAGEANT REQUIREMENTS must be completed by midnight on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

▶Entry Form: Each contestant must complete an online entry form at www.shamrockpageants.com.

▶Photo: One head shot photo must be uploaded on the entry form.

▶Entry Fee: $110 non-refundable fee.

▶Review: Miss Irish Rose Letter, Itinerary, and Handbook.

▶Sign & Email: Handbook Agreement.

CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS

▶Banquet/Formal: Prom/Homecoming Dress- Elegant/Classy- The formal gown will be worn during the banquet on Friday March 18th.

▶Interview, Parade, Coronation: As part of the registration fee, an Official Colleen Outfit will be provided to you by the pageant. The outfit is a tradition and will be specifically made for each girl. Each contestant is required to return the outfit following the coronation. Black dress shoes with at least a 2" heel must be worn with the Colleen Outfit.

SCHEDULE OF REQUIRED EVENTS FOR EACH CONTESTANT

FRIDAY, MARCH 17

▶REHEARSAL: 1 PM- Shamrock High School Gymnasium, 100 South Illinois- Contestants will attend a meet and greet with the pageant director, practice modeling techniques and rehearse personal introductions.

▶ST. PATRICK’S KICK-OFF BANQUET: 6:15 PM- Shamrock High School Gymnasium, 100 South Illinois- Banquet tickets, special seating and a catered meal will be provided for each contestant. Each contestant will do an individual modeling walk with a personal introduction. Introductions should include, but not limited to: full name, age, hometown, school, and sponsor.

SATURDAY, MARCH 18

▶COLLEEN BREAKFAST: 8 AM – HAPPY STATE BANK, 711 NORTH MAIN STREET

Interviews will begin at this time with each contestant meeting individually with the panel of judges. Float assignments for the parade will take place at this time. If your sponsor has a float in parade, you will have the opportunity to be on their float. Please let the pageant director know ahead of time for planning purposes. *Contestants and pageant staff/judges may only attend interview.

▶PARADE: 10 AM- Main Street USA, Downtown Shamrock- Contestants will be assigned to ride on floats of participating businesses.

▶LUNCHEON: Immediately following parade- High School Library, 100 South Illinois- A school bus will be located at the end of the parade to transport all contestants to the school for the luncheon and the pageant to follow. *Contestants and pageant staff/judges may only attend luncheon.

▶IRISH ROSE CONTINUATION OF PAGEANT COMPETITION & CROWNING: 3:00 PM- Shamrock High School Auditorium, 100 South Illinois- There is no cost for admission for any spectator.
